Pinterest and Cricut!

I am terrible at blogging. Since my last post I have purchased a Cricut machine. I LOVE it! It will cut paper and vinyl and I have been crafting as much as I can. Not only do I love the Cricut, but I am also crazy for the website Pinterest! Some of my favorite things to do are craft, plan ideas for parties, decorate and look at pretty things that I really need (like purses, Terry :)!) I could really make a full time job out of crafts from Pinterest. If any one knows of a job like that please let me know.



Ok enough about Pinterest for now. Here are some little gifts I have made recently. I purchased the frames, and then used construction paper for the background. I cut out names in vinyl with the Cricut, and made some fabric flowers for decoration. Will and Baylor's frames are made with burlap flowers. 

These are such easy, but cute gifts. You can put vinyl on almost everything. I will post some more crafts that I have made soon.

Blogging Again

Ok, so I have decided that I will start this blog back up. I really enjoyed writing on it before, and I am not sure why I stopped. The last post was in 2009! WOW! I mentioned that we were looking at possibly getting a little sister for Roxie, well we did. Her name is Piper and she is a mess! She is very hyper, but is so much fun. She brings out the puppy in Roxie. Piper is going to be 2 this December, and Roxie is now 9.

I am not sure if I posted this before, but Terry did pass the bar exam (that was quite a while ago). He is practicing in Kingston. His family, my family and our friends were so happy for him! He is really enjoying it.

Other than that, we do not have too much going on. We have now been married for a little over 2 years, and we are loving it. I have found a new website that I LOVE and it is called Pinterest. It is making me "crafty." Well at least I am attempting crafts! I love everything about Fall and the upcoming Holiday season, and l and have attempted some Fall crafts. I saw some glittered pumpkins on Martha Stewart's website and knew that we HAD to have some in our house. I got a few plastic pumpkins and some Mod Podge and Martha Stewart Glitter and got to work. I made a huge mess, but here are the pumpkins:

Terry and I also decided we needed some decorations for our front porch. We got some mums and 4 pumpkins. I found another website that I like to look at and it is brownpaper--packages. It is a blog with crafts, recipes, etc. She had a post where she made a monogrammed pumpkin with scrapbook paper and Mod Podge. I decided to try that too, and really like the way it turned out. Here is our monogrammed pumpkin:

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This year has flown by. I did not realize how long it would take to get my Christmas shopping done either! We have done a lot of shopping but are still not done.

After Thanksgiving, I could not wait to get the Christmas Tree up! Terry and I spent Black Friday doing that and then Terry had a big birthday that Sunday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERRY!

After we got our tree up in the house, we decided we should get a tree for our front porch too.

We went to my mom's house when she was decorating and I took a piece of her gold ribbon. I could not help but put it on Roxie's little sweater when we got home.... Isn't she cute! :) We have been talking about adopting a little sister for Roxie~ I am not sure if she would like that or not!

Home Sweet Home

Our house hunt is finally over! Terry and I moved into our home a little over a week ago and we love it! We painted our bedroom and have started really trying to make it our own. There is not really any work that needs to be done, we just need to get some more decorations.

Here is one thing we did. Our bedroom was purple and now we have painted it blue to match our comforter.

Roxie is really starting to like having more space. She was a little scared at first, but now she is starting to feel more like it is her home too. Here she is in her bed.

Terry and I worked out in the yard on Sunday! That was so much fun... :) just kidding. It really felt good to get it accomplished, but did not feel good while we were working on it. Terry mowed the yard while I raked. We have a Chinese Chesnut Tree and it drops these hugs prickly things. I had a hard time raking them, I think we ended up mowing over quite a few.

It is hard to believe that it is already fall and starting to get cold. I am excited for Halloween and really excited for Christmas. I am trying to get us in the Fall spirit. I bought us a couple of Mums to decorate our front porch a little. I am ready to decorate the pumpkins, but I am waiting until closer to Halloween. I really wish I could do this like Martha Stewart:

Looking for a House

Terry and I are house hunting and it has been a fun and also long process. We both know that when we find the one we are meant to be in it will all work out the way it is supposed to. I just really hope it happens sooner than later!

Not too much has happened recently. One of Terry's friends Brandon just got married. Terry, me, Jon, Missy, LaRue, Cagney and Laura just spent the weekend in Pigeon Forge for the wedding. We stayed in a Cabin and had a great time. It is nice to have a long weekend.

It is hard to believe that our wedding was almost 4 months ago already! This summer has flown by. I am actually really missing looking at wedding stuff and getting it all pulled together. I think I will try to start blogging about cute wedding ideas, decorations, etc. to get my obsession with wedding stuff out. :)

Summer!

I have not been very good at blogging, and I can not believe it is already almost the end of July! Terry will be taking the bar exam next week. I feel like we have been waiting for this for so long. He is studying hard, and by the end of next week I am sure he will feel relieved.

We are house hunting right now. It is very exciting trying to find a house we both like! We have looked at many houses, but have not found one yet, hopefully we will soon. I would love to post that we have found a house to move into! Right now we are in the apartment Terry lived in during law school, and it really cozy and feels like home to us, so we are pretty happy here.

I never got to post any pictures of our honeymoon, so here are a few random ones:



Here we are at the Dole Pineapple Plantation.

Here is a ranch that we went to that had a movie tour. We saw locations where movies and TV shows such as "Lost" have been filmed. Here we are at a "Jurassic Park" location.



We also went on a hike to a waterfall. Terry actually swam up to the waterfall. I did not realize how large my sunglasses are on my face. haha
When we were in Kaui, we went on a NaPali Coast Tour. We rode on a Lifeguard raft boat all up the coast and it was gorgeous. The water was windex blue, and the waterfalls and rock formations were so pretty.


This past weekend Terry and I kept Brian, one of the triplets, overnight. We had so much fun with him. We went to the park, and then the next morning took him to the Farmer's Market in Market Square. He pointed out every dog we passed at the Market. He is full of personality. Here he is getting ready to leave on Saturday, and here is Terry putting him in his car seat.




I say this everytime, but hopfully I will post more often, or maybe Terry will!!

We are Married!!!

It has been forever since I have posted. I think I have good reason though. :) Terry and I are married!!! It seems like we planned the wedding for so long, I can not believe that is has already happened.

All I could do the week before the wedding was check every website that had the forecast on it. The week started out with a slim chance of rain, but by Friday we were at a 70% chance of rain. I just wanted to be able to get through the ceremony with clear skies.

All the bridesmaids and I got our hair done and just tried to relax and enjoy the wedding day. We were getting ready for the wedding and the sun was shining. Terry and I had a beautiful sunny ceremony filled with many friends and family.

During the reception the wind started blowing and the rain came. We did have a tent thankfully. We had so much fun, and when I think back on the day I feel like it went faster than any day I have ever had.

After the wedding Terry and I headed to HAWAII! It was such a great trip. We flew to Oahu for 4 days and then to Kaui for 4 days. We layed around on the beach, went to the pool, and also did some site seeing.

I guess our next big thing will be finding a house! :) Stayed tuned for that adventure!
